Vena - Platform for Continua Certified products

Cambridge Consultants Vena platform supports a set of standards that have been selected by the Continua Health Alliance to guarantee compatibility between personal health devices. As well as providing Bluetooth, and USB connectivity, the single chip Vena platform can be used as the core of a complete device providing user interface and sensor processing

Cambridge Consultants Vena platform formed part of the first public demonstration of Continua products in October 2008. The Vena enabled device communicated data to medical records solutions provided by Philips Google and IBM.

Vena is the first product to achieve Bluetooth Health Device Profile (HDP)Qualification, providing reliable wireless connectivity.

The Vena platform is available as a reference design enabling you to develop your own Continua Certified device or manager using our established embedded software development tools.
