Electrosurgical Handset for Gyrus Medical Systems

We worked with Gyrus Medical to develop an electrosurgical handset for anthroscopic tissue removal from joint spaces.

Risk reduction methodologies such as Design for Validation and Design for Manufacture were used to move quickly from the conceptual design through to 3D CAD models and early test prototypes.

Production tooling was completed in 10 weeks enabling a full transfer from concept to production in under 9 months. The handset is in production at Gyrus and sold in the US and UK.
