Drug Eluting Stents

We have carried out a number of wide ranging studies of stent coating processes. In particular we have developed a fundamental understanding of the impact of coating system design and process parameters on coat weight and coat weight variability.

We have also developed bespoke analytical tools, including optical interferometry techniques, and have applied a suite of analytical techniques, including Taguchi's Design of Experiments.

We have implemented robust and reliable coating methods in production and carried out in-depth user studies and work flow analysis to enhance implementation.

As a consequence we have successfully implemented process changes over multiple production sites to result in yields in excess of 95%.
