FAQs

Do you offer internships?

Yes, we offer summer, 6-month and 12-month internships, with new roles released all year round. View our current internship opportunities and subscribe to job alerts to be notified of new vacancies as they’re added.

As an intern, you’ll cut your teeth on live client projects – we make sure both sides benefit.
Do you offer work experience?

Yes, we usually welcome students in years 10 to 13. We offer one week of work experience here at Cambridge Consultants and this usually falls within the summer holiday. You can apply via our website.
Do you have a graduate scheme?

No. When we hire graduates, we want them to do what they’re good at, not to spend two years being passed from one department to another. If you join us as a graduate, you’ll do what you do best as a trusted member of the team.

How long does the recruitment process take and when will you get back to me?

We always aim to make the recruitment process as quick as possible, but expect it to take between 8 and 10 weeks. We ensure that every application receives a response and, if you reach interview, we provide constructive feedback at every stage.
I’m interested in several roles. Can I apply for more than one?

Yes, you can apply for as many jobs as you like! Click the ‘save this job’ button at the top of any job that interests you, then visit your saved jobs page to apply for them all in one application.

Don’t worry – we don’t discredit you for applying for more than one position, we actively encourage it.
When is the deadline for applications?
We don’t have deadlines for our roles – we keep them open until they’re filled. On the flip side, if we find the right person straight away we won’t hesitate to make an offer. So, make sure you apply asap!
What information do you need?
Please complete our short online application form and attach your CV. We recommend you also include a covering letter, but that’s optional. If you’re applying for a design-related role please include your portfolio.
What do I need to prepare?
This depends on the role you’re applying for. You don’t need to prepare anything specific for a telephone interview. You may be sent a short brief prior to the face-to-face interview, but you’ll always be given plenty of time to prepare.

What is the format of the face-to-face interview?
You’ll meet various members of the team, take a tour of the campus, enjoy lunch in our canteen (everyone’s favourite bit!) and hopefully get a taste of what it's like to work here. Candidates tell us it’s rigorous but very enjoyable!
Expect to spend between half and a whole day with us. We want to get to know you and we want you to get to know us, so there’ll be lots of opportunities for both sides to ask questions.
Do you pay interview expenses?
Yes, we reimburse all reasonable expenses, including travel and accommodation.

Top tips

Do your research.
Try to understand what we’re about. (See ‘essential reading’ above.)

Passion is important.
Include your hobbies and interests – we care about who you are, not just what you're studying.

Don’t make assumptions.
Don’t assume we know anything about the course you’re studying: list your modules and projects.

Answer each question fully & accurately.
Thoroughly check grammar and spelling and ask someone else to proofread your application.

Include dates.
We need to know when you started university and when you graduated or are due to graduate.

At the face-to-face, plan to arrive early.
Nobody wants to start their interview in a fluster! Aim to arrive around 10 minutes before your interview start time. We’ll make you a drink, get you settled in and generally make sure you’re comfortable before kick-off.
