HRI 2020 is the 15th annual conference for basic and applied human-robot interaction research. Researchers from across the world present their best work to HRI to exchange ideas about the theory, technology, data, and science furthering the state-of-the-art in human-robot interaction.
The theme of HRI 2020 is “Real World Human-Robot Interaction”.
Meet our team at the event to understand more about how Cambridge Consultants is implementing automation on catering services and also bringing smart mobile robots to life making it possible to navigate through clouds.
The challenges of Human/Robot interaction in the real world
Date: April 3rd, 2020
Speaker Chris Roberts, Head of Robotics, Cambridge Consultants
Here at Cambridge Consultants we focus on designing and build products that can offer commercial benefit to our clients. Many of the most interesting things we've done recently involve robotics working in semi-structured environments with high variability or high interaction with people. Often the biggest challenge is overcoming real-world constraints like fitting into constrained spaces, making maintenance and repairs easy, or hitting unit cost targets. Working out how to make the robotic systems more flexible and interactive while still meeting these challenges is a key part of our work.
