WiSE™ (wireless stimulation endocardially), developed by EBR Systems in collaboration with Cambridge Consultants, is the only wireless endocardial pacing system for cardiac resynchronisation therapy (CRT) – a treatment for heart failure that uses an implantable pacemaker to improve the heart’s pumping efficiency by synchronising the left and right ventricles.

With over 20 years’ experience in the field, Carmelo has led global teams and business units in the clinical and veterinary markets working in a wide range of roles including strategic marketing, program management, product development and business development.
Carmelo obtained his Doctorate in Molecular Biology from Cardiff University, UK and a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from De Montfort University, UK.
