With CES® being reimagined for 2021, we’re looking forward to contributing to the first all-digital version of the world’s most influential tech event. As ever, we’ll be relishing the opportunity to share the inspiration, ideas and products and services that will shape our future.

The Cambridge Consultants team has prepared a showcase of breakthrough innovation. It highlights our partnerships with ambitious clients and reflects our role of accelerating the path from discovery to world-changing innovation.

Breakthrough innovation

Here's what you can expect from us at CES

Connecting everyone with 5G

This is a story of a radical breakthrough as it reveals our part in a highly ambitious plan to deliver superfast 5G to every corner of the globe from the stratosphere. Working with Stratospheric Platforms Limited (SPL), we’ve developed an airborne antenna that will provide widescale coverage of high performance 5G at a fraction of the cost of terrestrial networks.

Ocado smart platform

Ocado is the world’s largest online-only grocery retailer. Our work to develop the wireless control system for the Ocado Smart Platform (OSP) is at the heart of its automated customer order fulfilment system. The platform controls thousands of fast-moving robots simultaneously, each to within a fraction of a second, controlled by the world’s most densely packed mobile network.

Creating hyper-personalized experiences

Our experiential sensing concept can help brands use traditional consumer research methods to uncover insights and trends that were previously unobtainable. Using available sensing technologies, the concept uses AI principles to collect and quantify biometric, contextual, and product usage information. It creates a data-rich trove of physiological, situational and product performance data ready to help brands optimize marketing, inform new product development and engage consumers in a more meaningful way.

Smart wearable devices

Low power, high performance & rugged usability combined to enhance the theme park experience.

Acesso's vision was to liberate theme park visitors to spend more time enjoying themselves, but that did not come without a challenge.

Delivering reliable season-long performance required a combination of bespoke technology – including custom low-power RF protocols and high-performance multi-radio design.

AI enhancement to go beyond human vision

A major application of AI is enhancing technology-based systems to enable applications that wouldn’t otherwise be viable with ‘standard’ technology. Our technique can be applied to virtually any source of signal or data, but in this case the technology creates undistorted views of the real-world from a damaged or obscured moving image.

The future of AI is at the edge

Driven by advances in silicon and machine learning algorithms, Edge AI is presenting vast opportunities for businesses across diverse markets.

The ability to add low cost and low power intelligence onto edge IoT devices themselves is opening the door to a range of new AI-enhanced products and digital services.

Synthetic data and simulation for real-world business advantage

Now, more than ever, companies need to think about innovative ways to survive and prosper. The smart ones will shorten their product development lifecycle and cut out any unnecessary extra steps. And those that invest in synthetic data and simulation will be rewarded with product research and development that is drastically cheaper, faster and less risky.

We are CES ready - are you?
