先進運転支援システム（ADAS）の将来に向けた主な課題 

先進運転支援システム（ADAS）は、自動車市場で最も急成長しているテクノロジー分野で、2018年には推定240億ドルの価値があり、2025年には920億ドルまで達すると予測されています。 

車線逸脱警報、死角の検出、緊急ブレーキのようなADASの機能は市場に広く普及し、ドライバーの安全性を大幅に向上させ、運転体験を向上させています。一方で、より高度な半自律型技術は自動運転車の未来を切り開いています。 

人工知能（AI）はADASにおいて最も重要な要素の一つであり、リアルタイムでの認知、予測、意思決定において従来のソフトウェア技術をはるかに凌駕しています。未来のADASシステムがより複雑な自動運転シナリオに取り組むようになれば、さらに多くのAIコンテンツが必要になります。しかし、現在の半自律型アーキテクチャのアプローチだと、ミドルクラスの自動車が採用するには法外なコストがかかります。
