We’re delighted to present the ‘Surgical Robotics: Engineering to Bedside’ symposium, in collaboration with the Congress of Neurological Surgeons at their annual meeting on Sunday 7 October 2018.
This symposium focuses on understanding state-of-the-art robotic systems that support a range of cranial and spinal surgery procedures, allowing participants to evaluate current and upcoming systems for cranial stereotactic, endoscopy and spine applications.
Participants will gain a foundational understanding of robotic systems in the context of clinical benefit, providing a framework to make educated assessments regarding trade-offs between features and performance of current and upcoming systems. The future of robotics in Neurosurgery will also be discussed.

Chris Wagner (Head of Advanced Surgical Systems) will present ‘Efficiency and accuracy trade-offs in current robotic systems’ at 1pm, followed by Tabitha Solomon (Principal Human Factors Engineer) presenting ‘Pre-operative setup and intraoperative workflow considerations for current robotic systems’ at 1:25pm.
Chris and Tabitha will then lead a panel discussion entitled ‘Clinical needs and engineering trade-offs in today’s cranial and spine robots’ at 1:45pm.
