Cambridge Consultants will present alongside industry leaders to examine how the wireless sector is innovating through new technology and new ways of working.

Going to Spectrum – Mapping the Future?

As the UK's communications and media regulator, Ofcom strives to enable a modern telecommunications infrastructure across the UK. Achieving this is a challenge as an increasing number of sectors compete to use similar frequencies. Ofcom are, however, exploring new ways to share spectrum and to mitigate the risk of interference between different users.

Ofcom has therefore set three 'grand challenges':

  • How would you like to connect - at home, at work and while you travel? How can we improve these services, especially in rural communities and on transport nodes?
  • How can we better manage our spectrum and mitigate interference between operators?
  • How can we quickly enable new services without impacting existing users?

This event brings together a broad community to discuss these and other issues.
