In its fifth edition, the Open RAN Global Forum 2023 will explore the progress of Open RAN and the crucial role of the RIC. The event will examine the continually evolving ecosystem of players from hardware and software, right down to the silicon level. Speakers will also share the latest on commercial deployments, security, and the continuing debate regarding interoperability and parity of performance.
The Forum will cover a variety of themes including future network architectures and the necessary shift in network operating models and culture, roadmaps for the deployment and standardization of Open RAN, commercial opportunities brought by Near-Real-Time RIC, and development and evolution of the Open RAN ecosystem – among a host of other topics.
Cambridge Consultants will present alongside AccelerComm on how O-RAN architectures are unlocking technologies for high value novel use cases.
How O-RAN architectures are unlocking technologies for high value novel use cases
Tuesday, September 19, 2023; 2:05pm - 2:25pm EDT
There are many tightly integrated verticals with demanding communication needs such as mining, industrial automation, airborne, or satellite systems. These may not be met by standardized communications and require specific technology enhancements such as massive MIMO, antenna designs, autonomous network operation, or PHY compute optimization. In this session, Cambridge Consultants will highlight examples of such technologies they have built within the O-RAN ecosystem, and client AccelerComm will explain their experience of developing revolutionary PHY layer technology solutions. Speakers will then consider how such solutions for these novel use cases are well placed to evolve with the O-RAN ecosystem to take advantage of new technologies.
