CC in Conversation with Cambridge Science Centre

by Alice McCutcheon | Nov 21, 2025

Cambridge Science Centre is a charity with a mission to make science fun and accessible for everyone, especially primary school children. But explaining AI posed a unique challenge – how do you make its complexity understandable for children?
That’s where CC stepped in to help, by creating an interactive experience that breaks down AI through play. It uses animations, characters and multisensory design to make learning engaging without relying solely on words. And it worked – the innovation won an iF Design Award for UX.

In this CC in Conversation episode, Mandy Curtis, CSC Visitor Engagement Manager, discusses the project in detail.
