We are looking for a new CNC Miller Operator to join our Prototype Development Workshop. This team is at the heart of our business’ innovation, delivering precision-manufactured prototype and low-volume hardware across diverse sectors. The workshop works with state-of-the-art equipment, from manual and CNC machines to laser cutters and 3D printers, turning concepts into reality.
You’ll provide technical and manufacturing support in the Mechanical Workshop / Laboratory for the manufacture of components and sub-assemblies from engineering drawings or CAD Data, using CNC milling machines or lathe.
This role is perfect for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, able to take direction and enjoys being part of a collaborative workshop environment.
Full training will be provided where required.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need experience or skills within the following areas:
City & Guilds Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering Craft / ONC or equivalent qualification
Proven experience operating workshop machinery, including CNC mills and lathes
Strong understanding of advanced machining techniques
Comfortable working to precise limits in turning, milling, grinding and general fitting
Excellent communication skills — both verbal and written
Strong organisational, problem-solving and teamwork skills
A proactive, service-orientated approach with a keen eye for detail
The following areas are also of interest, however, we would still encourage you to apply without:
Experience working within ISO9001 and ISO13485 quality management systems
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as Fusion 360
