Use of AI in recruitment
Introduction
Our work at CC depends on exceptional people solving genuinely hard problems and we want to see the real you throughout our recruitment process, not a version generated on your behalf.
Using AI in your application
For certain roles, we may be more specific. Where a position involves working with AI day to day, or where we’re assessing capabilities that AI could substitute for, the job description or task instructions will set out our expectations clearly – whether that’s encouraging you to use AI and show us how, or asking that a particular exercise be your own unaided work. Where nothing is stated, the principle above applies.
Our interviews are designed to explore your reasoning and experience in depth, so the best preparation is simply this: be ready to talk confidently and specifically about everything in your application. If you’re ever unsure what’s appropriate for a role, the Recruitment Team will be glad to help.
How we use AI in our process
We use AI-assisted tools to help review and organise applications. For example, identifying applications that match the requirements of a role. These tools support our recruitment process, but they don’t replace it. Every recruitment decision is made by our people, and we do not rely solely on automated decision-making.
Specifically, we use Greenhouse Software’s Talent Matching feature to assist with reviewing applications against the skills and experience we’ve identified as important for a given role.
How it works: Talent Matching reviews your CV and application responses to assess how closely your qualifications match the job requirements we’ve set for this role. Our recruiters direct how Talent Matching is used, working with hiring managers to agree the relevant requirements and how each should be weighted.
Human oversight: Our recruiters and hiring managers review everything Talent Matching produces and make the final call on every application. It does not automatically progress or reject any candidate, and it does not make hiring decisions.
Your rights:
- You can request more information about how we use Talent Matching by contacting recruitment@cambridgeconsultants.com.
- You can request an alternative evaluation method – either by selecting the opt-out option or by contacting us at the address above.
By proceeding with your application, you confirm that you’ve been informed about, and consent to, our use of Talent Matching in our hiring process.
